I’m delighted to learn that my poem ‘Silent Cry’ will be published in the London Independent Story Prize anthology, after making the final selection in their 2024 3rd round competition.

‘Silent Cry’ was inspired by the tragic events in 2021 when the container ship ‘X-press Pearl’ caught fire and then sank off the coast of Sri Lanka, causing one of the worst ever marine ecological disasters. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-Press_Pearl
